Description

Thrilling Comics #36 (Better Publications, 1943) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. The first copy we've ever offered aside from a pathetic Poor, and only the Mile High copy has been graded higher! Long before DC realized the sales power of gorilla and jail cell covers, this combined both and added a creepy skull, all drawn by the masterful Alex Schomburg! The issue has the first appearance of the Commando Cubs, and Doc Strange is the cover hero. We've got a few interesting Nedor rarities in this auction, but condition-wise this is the best of the bunch. Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $800. CGC census 7/12: 1 in 9.4, 1 higher.

CGC Grader Notes:
