Piracy #2 Gaines Files Pedigree 8/12 (EC, 1955) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. This copy is tied for CGC's highest grade. Reed Crandall's cover constitutes an homage to the 1911 painting Who Shall Be Captain by Howard Pyle, whose illustrations of pirates singlehandedly created the modern idea of pirate garments. Interior art was provided by Crandall, Jack Davis, Angelo Torres, Al Williamson, and Wally Wood. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $425.
