Description
New Fun Comics #3 (DC, 1935) Condition: FR/GD. The third issue of DC's first comic series, this one's extremely difficult to find. Gerber assigned it a scarcity rating of "8." This oversized issue, measuring 10" by 15", has a mix of comics, text features, and puzzles. There's Oswald the Rabbit, an Ivanhoe adaptation, various and sundry adventure and gag strips, photos of Shirley Temple and W. C. Fields, and much more. Intriguingly, there's also a letters page called "Fun Mail" - those histories of comics that cite Real Fact Comics #3 (1946) as the first DC letters page will have to be rewritten! This copy's pages show brittleness at the edges. There's a three-inch spine split at the bottom, a two-inch split at the top, and a cut in the first interior page.
