Description
Keen Detective Funnies #18 (Centaur, 1940) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. Publisher Centaur led the way in bringing comics from the Platinum Age into the Golden Age. Consequently, they hold an extremely important place in comic history. Because they were published prior to the explosion in popularity of comics during the early 1940's, they are relatively scarce, with Keen Detective Funnies being one of the most sought after of the Centaur titles. This fabulous example features a brutal male bondage and torture cover. Notice Frank Thomas' dynamic rendition of the villains as they fire their guns at the mysterious Eye while he tries to prevent the unfortunate torture victim from being branded. A high-grade copy with dark, rich colors and nice corners, this will certainly be an important addition to any collection. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $426.More information about Keen Detective Funnies, and Keen Detective Funnies #18 Comic Title.
