    Description

Champion Comics #2 (Harvey, 1939) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. This early Harvey offering entered the Golden Age "How Many Heroes Can We Possibly Get Into This Comic?" sweepstakes with the less-than-formidable lineup of the Champ, Blazing Scarab, Neptina, and Liberty Lads, to name but a few. Predictably, with winners like these, the run didn't challenge All-Star Comics or even Leading Comics in longevity. Gerber lists this issue as "uncommon," and, that fact, plus the even more uncommon condition, is worth noting. This is the finest copy CGC has yet seen of this issue. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $1,080.
