Blue Ribbon Comics #1 Carson City pedigree (MLJ, 1939) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. This copy's tied with the Mile High and Denver copies for the status of CGC's highest-graded, but we hasten to add that neither of those has this one's perfect page quality! This is the very first comic book published by MLJ (later known as Archie Publications). It features the first appearances of Dan Hastings, Richy the Amazing Boy, and Rang-A-Tang the Wonder Dog, who also stars on the stylized cover attributed to Norman Danberg. Golden Age great Jack Cole contributed interior art. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $5,700.
