Blackhawk #9 (Quality, 1944) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Slightly brittle pages. This is the first issue to bear the Blackhawk title, as the series was formerly called Uncle Sam Quarterly. Chop-Chop and the Blackhawks celebrate their takeover with a sing-along on this cover by Al Bryant, who also contributed interior art. The Ezra back-up story is written and drawn by Harry Sahle. Overstreet 2007 VG 4.0 value = $726; FN 6.0 value = $1,089. CGC census 10/07: 3 in 5.0, 15 higher.
