Amazing Mystery Funnies V2#3 Office Mock-Up Copy (Centaur, 1939) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Cream to off-white pages. Centaurs are notoriously scarce in general, but this "mock-up copy" may just be unique! It was used to attract businesses to advertise with the publisher. The copy has the full 5-page Air-Sub DX story; the full 3-page Dirk the Demon, and the full 6-page Skyrocket Steele story. All in all, it's six wraps of the issue, with the 20th page cut out and glued onto the 5th page, which was probably an ad. CGC notes, "From the Estate of Lloyd Jacquet." Jacquet founded a comics "packaging" company, Funnies, Inc., that provided contents for early publishers of the new comic book medium. The cover's by Bill Everett, with another Timely legendary artist, Carl Burgos providing interior art. Overstreet 2024 VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,684; NM- 9.2 value = $3,800.
