    Description

Adventure Comics #56 (DC, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. It's hard to believe that this NM copy isn't from the coffers of old Edgar Church or one of the other top pedigrees, because the Bernard Baily cover looks as fresh as the day it was bought off the newsstand, as does the page quality. This looker is currently tied with the Mile High copy for the top spot on CGC's census. Overstreet 2011 NM- 9.2 value = $4,000. CGC census 2/12: 2 in 9.4, none higher.
