    Description

Adventure Comics #55 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. There are no other words for the condition on this copy other than "absolutely amazing!" True, it's the Mile High copy, but a 9.8 book from 1940? Are you kidding us? To put this in perspective, CGC had only certified 12 copies of #55 higher than VG- 3.5 before this. The whites, reds, and yellows are simply impeccable. Bernard Baily cover and art. Creig Flessel art. Check out a closeup of this stunner at HA.com! Overstreet 2014 NM- 9.2 value = $4,000. CGC census 5/15: 1 in 9.8, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 910306008 and purchase grader's notes if available.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
