    Description

Adventure Comics #54 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white pages. We've seen a few decent copies of this ish in our day, but even the VF+ 8.5 Larson looks like chopped liver next to this ultra-high-grade Edgar Church copy (and those two copies are two of only three certified above FN 6.0 as of this writing). The spine on this baby looks so sharp, it could cut you! And the yellows on the cover (starring Hourman) are almost blinding. The "Man-of-the-hour" gets an assist by sidekicks the Minute Men of America, with Bernard Baily handling the cover art. The ever-spooky Sandman, this series' original superhero, is seen on a cover vignette and inside, of course. Please note that there are two insignificant cracks on the left side of the CGC holder that do not affect the integrity of the book inside. Overstreet 2009 NM- 9.2 value = $3,650. CGC census 4/10: 1 in 9.6, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 0708794001 and purchase grader's notes if available.
