Adventure Comics #48 (DC, 1940) CGC GD 2.0 Off-white to white pages. Unrestored copies of this key have proven harder to find than previously thought; in fact, they're in the minority on CGC's census report! Also, high-grade unrestored copies may not even exist, with the Mile High checking in at VF+ 8.5. Ranked #39 on Overstreet's list of the Top 100 Golden Age Comics, this is the first appearance of the Hourman. The character has been a member of the Justice Society, the Freedom Fighters, and the All-Star Squadron, and a version of the Hourman still appears in comics today! Bernard Baily cover and art. Bob Kane and Ogden Whitney art. This copy has never been offered for public sale before, and we are impressed by the appealing page quality. CGC notes, "Tape on cover & interior cover." Overstreet 2014 GD 2.0 value = $2,750. CGC census 8/14: 1 in 2.0, 15 higher. From the Down Under Collection.
