Action Comics #6 (DC, 1938) CGC Apparent GD 2.0 Moderate (A) Slightly Brittle pages. This is just the fourth diffferent copy of #6 we've offered in any grade. This very early Superman adventure has the first appearance of Jimmy Olsen. It's a pretty important first appearance, considering that Superman's Pal later starred in his own comic that ran for twenty years! Neither Jimmy nor Superman made the cover, but Leo O'Mealia's absolutely superb cover illustration more than makes up for that. We'd be remiss if we didn't note that this may be DC's first-ever gorilla cover -- a theme the publisher would return to over and over in later decades, to the delight of many fans including us. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, spine splits sealed, reinforced. (Right & bottom edge trimmed)." Overstreet 2010 GD 2.0 value = $1,879.
