The Incredible Hulk #181 Signature Series (Marvel, 1974) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. This is on the short list of the most desirable Bronze Age Marvel comics we've ever offered. And if you're the type to judge for yourself whether a grade is warranted, have this one shown to you at one of our auction previews and we think you'll approve. This is of course the first full appearance of Wolverine, with cover art by Herb Trimpe. It's currently #3 on Overstreet's list of Top 10 Bronze Age Comics, and it's the highest ranked non-variant book on that list. CGC notes, "Signed by Stan Lee on 12/11/08." Overstreet 2016 NM- 9.2 value = $3,500. CGC census for Universal grades 9/17: 100 in 9.8, 1 higher; for Signature series: 9 in 9.8, none higher.
