Description

Detective Comics #395 Twin Cities pedigree (DC, 1970) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. You could argue that this is an absurdly undervalued comic book. This is the first Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams collaboration on Batman, and that duo was pure magic anytime they handled the character. So while Green Lantern #76 (also by O'Neil and Adams) gets the glory as the most valuable Bronze Age DC, this book, that came out three months earlier, has less than one-tenth the Guide value?? And #395 inexplicably has less than half the Guide value of Detective #400 (nothing against Man-Bat, but...). To us it speaks volumes that #395 was chosen as one of the DC Millennium editions, representing the most significant comics the company had published. And of course, the Twin Cities copy would be very tough to ever top. Cover art by Adams. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $200. CGC census 5/14: 2 in 9.6, none higher.
