    Description

Snatch Comics #1 Third Print - Don Donahue File Copy (Apex Novelties, 1968) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. This was the last edition of Snatch #1 to be assembled by hand. In 1972 the Print Mint took over as publisher, from then on it was printed on a newspaper press at a commercial plant. The first three editions, on the other hand, were printed on a small press and assembled by hand. People were supplied with stacks of pages and covers to take home, fold, and staple. They were paid by the number of books they completed. The final step involved stacking the books in a paper cutter and cutting a quarter inch off the top edge. When the books reached the retailer it was common to mark them up to 50 cents or more, most copies in circulation have a sticker covering the original price. This copy was never trimmed, never stickered, and never put in circulation. It's no wonder this is one of the highest graded copies from CGC. From the collection of Apex owner Don Donahue
