    Description

House of Secrets #92 (DC, 1971) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white pages. Writer extraordinaire Len Wein has co-created quite a few memorable characters in the world of comics. Aside from the most famous, being Wolverine or course, he's also responsible for helping bring us Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, and Thunderbird for Marvel, and The Human Target for DC. But one of his most beloved characters came from this issue's collaboration with the great Bernie Wrightson, in which they introduced the world to Swamp Thing. The macabre hero's first appearance and origin features what Overstreet calls a "classic" cover by Wrightson. Joining him on interiors is Alan Weiss, Jeff Jones, Mike Kaluta, and Dick Dillin. Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $650; NM- 9.2 value = $900. CGC census 3/07: 42 in 9.0, 57 higher.
