Description

Chamber of Darkness #4 (Marvel, 1970) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This is by far the most valuable issue of this series' run thanks to a story featuring the Conan-like character Starr the Slayer, with a story by Roy Thomas and art by Barry Smith (i.e., the team that brought you Conan The Barbarian shortly thereafter). The rest of the book isn't exactly chopped liver -- Jack Kirby drew one of the stories, with Tom Sutton rendering the third tale. The cover's by Marie Severin. Overstreet 2005 NM- 9.2 value = $90. CGC census 8/05: 5 in 9.6, 1 higher.
