    Description

Giant-Size X-Men #1 (Marvel, 1975) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white pages. Why do we like this copy so much? Well, here's the thing about square bound comics: even the ones certified with really high grades tend to have some sort of abrasion, bindery tear, or other printing issue. Fortunately we found no such issues while scrutinizing this lovely copy. And since we're talking about the second most-valuable comic of the 1970s, the first appearance of the new X-Men, that's great news indeed. Check the high-res scan on our website for yourself and you'll see why no copy of the issue has been certified with a higher grade by CGC to date. The cover is by Gil Kane, with interior art by Dave Cockrum. The book currently sits at #6 on Overstreet's list of Top 20 Bronze Age Comics. Overstreet 2014 NM- 9.2 value = $1,350. CGC census 5/15: 121 in 9.8, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1097679010 and purchase grader's notes if available.
