Tales of the Fox Pollution Fighter #1 (Fox Comics, 1972) Condition: VF. This scarce Underground Comix title has an interesting background. It was done by an ecological activist in Illinois, trying to save the Fox River from pollution. Keeping his real identity a closely-guarded secret, "The Fox" used non-violent sabotage to protest against polluting the river, usually leaving behind a calling card with a distinctive logo (the word "FOX" with a stylized fox head for the "O"). This was his only comic, printed on recycled paper. Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide Supplement FN 6.0 value = $75; NM- 9.2 value = $150.
