    Description

A History of Comix Promo Poster (Art Institute of Chicago, 1970s). "The School of the Art Institute of Chicago Presents... A History Of Comix." This promotional poster touts a college summer session in comics and comic art that was taught by underground legend Jay Lynch. A student could earn 3 credit hours studying comic books! This poster is in incredibly nice shape, and may very well be the nicest in existence! Very few people saved these, and there weren't that many printed to begin with. Presentably framed, the poster measures 15" by 22".

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
