From the Manuscript, discovered in 1877 by Messrs Tonnison and Berreggnog, in the Ruins that lie to the South of the Village of Kraighten, in the West of Ireland. London: Chapman and Hall, Ltd., 1908. First edition. Octavo (7.5 x 4.75 inches; 190 x 123 mm.). xii, [2], 300, [4, ads] pages. Publisher's full dark red cloth, front and spine lettered in gilt, front with blind-ruled border; top edge trimmed, others untrimmed. Spine slightly skewed; fairly light edge and joint wear to binding with some bumping; spine ends pushed; backstrip a touch darkened; general rubbing with faint areas of soiling. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; rubbing and darkening to edges; some page edges roughly opened, starting to fray. Previous owner signature at front free endpaper; endpapers slightly foxed and rubbed; marginal thumbsoiling and spot-staining scattered occasionally throughout text block. Very good overall. Currey, p. 243.
