Fairly popular during the heyday of daily comic strips, Walter Berndt's Smitty debuted in 1922 and ran until Berndt's retirement half a century later. This early hardbound collection of Smitty strips is in Good condition, with no dust jacket and moderate staining and wear to the cover and page edges, a loose spine, owner's name handwritten several times on the inside front cover, and some coloring on a some of the panels. Most of the interior pages are in great condition, however.
