Octavo (8.25 x 5.5 inches; 209 x 140 mm.). 286 pages. Publisher's full gray cloth-textured paper, spine lettered in black; top and bottom edges trimmed, top stained blue, fore-edge untrimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Minimal shelf wear with a very tiny amount of bumping to binding; spine ends just slightly pushed. Normal mild age toning to edges and interior of text block; staining at top edge slightly rubbed, faded. Minimal edge wear to jacket, most pronounced at spine and flap fold ends; general faint toning; mild rubbing at exposed panels and folds. Very nearly fine. "Serious, meticulous, and well written, the book has been much discussed and praised because of its timely analytic interest in sexual politics" (Barron). Barron, Anatomy of Wonder, 4-327.
