    Description

The Undead - Book Sail 16th Anniversary Catalog #787/1,400(McLaughlin Press, 1984). This compellingly eccentric tome was published by the late collecting legend, John McLaughlin, to commemorate the 16th anniversary of his California-based antiquarian bookshop, The Book Sail. One of only 1,000 softcover editions (there were also 400 hardcovers made), it features cover art by Rowena Morrill (a self-portrait) and original text by Robert Bloch and Ray Bradbury. Among other things, this 300+ page book is a catalog, showcasing the world-class collection of pop culture memorabilia and original art which McLaughlin had accumulated (the same collection which Heritage has been auctioning). The book is individually numbered with an ink compound that actually contains human blood! This copy comes with its original silver band (often missing in other copies), and has a few minor cover scuffs.
