Description

The Adventures of Superman - First Edition (Random House, 1942). It had just been four years since the Man of Steel's first appearance in Action Comics #1, and he was already a legend. This hardback, authored by George Lowther, retold the superhero's origin, but also included adventures not told before. Co-creator Joe Shuster provided the artwork for the dust jacket and throughout the book, some in color. The dust jacket is in GD/VG condition, moderately worn with some tape. The book appears to be in VG/EX condition, but the cover shows some separation on the inside from the pages, so the grade is GD/VG. A very desirable collectible for the Golden Age collector and especially for the Superman completist.
