    Description

Superman From the Thirties to the Seventies Hardback (4th printing) (Bonanza Books, 1971) Condition: NM. When this book was first published it spawned countless new collectors. The Superman stories reprinted inside run the whole gamut of Supe's career from the his inception. There are also quite a few color plates reprinting stories and superman covers over the years. This pretty much looks unread with a nice, tight spine. The dust jacket had a crumple on the top near the spine that does not detract from it much and is safely ensconced in a Brodart cover.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
