Inscribed "To Alice Conger -- compliments and best wishes of Clark Ashton Smith, Nov. 1st 1944." on the front flyleaf. (Note: Conger was the secretary for publisher and author August Derleth.) Listed as #19 on Arkham House Books: A Collector's Guide's list of the 35 most valuable Arkham editions. The book and jacket are in Very Fine condition.
