    Description

Walt Disney The Art of Animation by Bob Thomas First and Second Printing Books Group (Simon and Shuster/Golden Press, 1958). A pair of rare printings of the landmark book on Disney animation, a best-seller for many years. The first printing is the Sandpiper Press edition, published by Simon and Shuster in cream-colored pictorial boards and a laminated dust jacket. The jacket shows some wear and tear, with the usual peeling lamination (taped in places), while the book itself is sound; Very Good condition. The second printing, issued same year as the first, is from Golden Press, with black boards that mimic the dust jacket design. Jacket has a taped tear and black marker touch-up; book shows edge wear, and is in Good condition. Both copies are from the personal collection of master animator, writer, and producer Jerry Eisenberg; he has written in name on the inside front cover of both copies.
