    Description

Science Fiction Books Group of 18 (1938-1950s). Here is an enormous group of Sci-Fi paperbacks and hardcover books dating from the 1950's back to 1938. This assortment includes a host of notable authors including Philip K. Dick, Ray Bradbury, and Kurt Vonnegut Jr. to name a few. There are 16 paperbacks ranging in size from approximately 6.5' x 4.25" to 7.5" x 5.25". The exception is a very rare 1938 Whitman publication of War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells that measures 11.5" x 8.5". It was produced shortly after the Orson Wells radio broadcast and the top of the cover reads, "When they told it on the radio... it terrified the whole country". Two hardcover books are included in this lot - The Inexplicable Sky by Arthur Constance and Space Story Omnibus. All of the books in this lot show age and handling and their conditions range from Fair to Good.
