    Mary Shelley Frankenstein First Photoplay Edition (Grosset & Dunlap, 1931). "Illustrated with scenes from the Universal Photoplay." Cased in red cloth, stamped with black lettering. Front endpaper has light stamp of previous owner's name. Minor wear to the folds of the dust jacket. The jacket illustration of Karloff as the monster and Mae Clarke in a deep swoon is bright and vibrant. A superior copy in Very Good condition, of one of the most sought-after photoplay editions.
