    More Information:

Jules Verne. The Begum's Fortune. With an Account of The Mutineers of the "Bounty." Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott and Co., 1879. First U. S. edition. Octavo. vii, [1], 272 pages. Publisher's full green cloth, spine and front stamped in black and gilt; all edges trimmed. Spine rather skewed; spine ends pushed, worn and starting to fray; light wear to joints; mild rubbing and a faint spot or two of soiling to boards, very slight bubbling at rear board; edges lightly worn and bumped; corners tapped with boards peeking through cloth. Edges of text block darkened from age, fore-edge spot-stained, bottom corner rubbed; faint speckling at endpapers, with stamp affixed to front pastedown; normal, mild age yellowing to pages; spot-staining scattered occasionally throughout; spine split at either side of gatherings E and L, the latter of which is partially sprung but still sound for now. Very good.  From the Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection.
