    Description

    H. P. Lovecraft The Outsider and Others (Arkham House, 1939). The first title published by Arkham House, featuring many of the best of Lovecraft's stories, from a print run of 1,268 copies. This was writer and editor Donald A. Wollheim's personal copy, and it bears his name stamp on the front flyleaf. The 533 pages of content include "The Statement of Randolph Carter," "The Silver Key," "The Music of Erich Zahn," "Pickman's Model," "The Dreams in the Witch-House," "The Call of Cthulhu," "The Dunwich Horror," "The Colour Out of Space," "The Shadow Over Innsmouth," "At the Mountains of Madness," and others. Jacket art by Virgil Finlay. A Fine to Very Fine copy with the scarce original dust jacket in Fine condition. Listed as #3 on Arkham House Books: A Collector's Guide's list of the 35 most valuable Arkham editions, and #36 on their list of scarcity. Arkham House Books value for Fine copy = $3,000.
