Geoffrey Wagner - "Parade of Pleasure" (Derek Verschoyle Limited, 1954). If your curiosity has been piqued by all of those "used in POP" notations in the Overstreet Guide, put in a bid on this book, which begins its section on comic books by calling comics "The marijuana of the nursery!" The rest of this book, subtitled "A Study of Popular Iconography in the U.S.A.," looks at pin-ups, movies, and television. The book is much harder to find (at least on these shores) than the similar Seduction of the Innocent. The book is in Very Good condition, the dust jacket is Good, enclosed in transparent library-style protective plastic. This copy has "Could I be of use to you? - Geoffrey Wagner" written in marker on the first page. Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value =$105; VG 4.0 value = $210; FN 6.0 value = $315; VF 8.0 value = $578; VF/NM 9.0 value = $789; NM- 9.2 value = $1,000. From the John McLaughlin Collection
