Description
The Timbertoes Book and John Gee's Quote Notes Group (c. 1930s-70s). A rare 1932 edition of this classic book, from the personal archives of the man who illustrated it, John Gee (1895 - 1977). Green cloth binding with pasted-on illustration, no dust jacket; some wear and tear, but many nice full-color illustrations by Mr. Gee. Also included with the book is a set of approximately 145 cards measuring 5" x 3", filled with inspirational quotes from a number of sources (including Mr. Gee himself). Very interesting look into the life of this somewhat mysterious artist. Overall Good condition.More information about Gee, John Artist.
