Octavo. [12], 211, [1, blank] pages. In-text illustrations by Clifford Geary. Publisher's black cloth binding, front and spine lettered in red, front with decorative red stamping; fore-edge untrimmed, others trimmed; decorative endpapers; original illustrated dust jacket. Spine ends just a bit worn; faint, pale specks of soiling scattered across boards; minimal shelf wear along bottom edge. Typical age yellowing to edges and interior of text block; fore-edge of text block presents as a bit chewed in places, likely from trimming process; spot or two of foxing at extreme page edges; mild disocloration at hinges. Head of jacket spine panel bumped; mild wear and soft creasing along joints and flap folds; slight soiling to exposed panels; small scratch to front panel; touch of foxing at rear flap fold. Uneven yellowing with a bit of foxing and rubbing at verso. Near fine. Currey, p. 233. From the Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection.
