Publisher's full black cloth, spine lettered in gilt; all edges trimmed; original illustrated jacket printed on blue paper. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends pushed; a bit of light rubbing to boards. Very mild age toning to edges and interior of text block. Very mild edge wear to jacket resulting in a bit of rumpling at spine and flap fold ends; sunning at spine panel and flap folds; light rubbing at exposed panels. Tape reinforcements at verso. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block. Virtually no edge wear to jacket; soft creases at joint and flap folds; spine panel a touch sunned; general light toning. Small amount of rubbing at verso. Essentially fine. From the Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection.

Fairly mild shelf wear to binding; top edge a bit dust-soiled; spine ends pushed; a few small bumps to board corners and edges. Normal age toning to edges of text block. Endpapers slightly discolored; uneven age toning throughout; small handful of instances of thumbsoiling and spot-staining scattered throughout at margins. Some very slight rumpling at edges of jacket, mostly at spine; some soft creasing at front joint; a bit of light rubbing at verso. Essentially fine. From the Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection.
