    Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Land That Time Forgot. Chicago: A. C. McClurg & Co., 1924. First edition. Octavo (7.25 x 4.875 inches; 186 x 126 mm.). [8], 422, [2, blank] pages. Frontispiece and three additional inserted plates by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's full light olive cloth, front and spine lettered in blue; all edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Minimal shelf wear to binding; spine ends a bit pushed; some faint discoloration at joints; a bit of rippling to cloth; soft crease at top edge of rear board. Normal mild age yellowing to edges and interior of text block; some light scuffing to edges; top edge dust-soiled with a couple of small stains; bottom edge rubbed at corner. Faint uneven toning to endpapers; mild offsetting from frontispiece. Minor edge wear to jacket, most pronounced at spine and flap fold ends, with a tiny tear at each end of spine panel; rubbing and thumbsoiling to panel fold and rear. Near fine, with a clean, bright interior. Adapted twice for film in 1975 and 2009. Currey, p. 89; Zeuschner (2016), p. 156.
