Clark Ashton Smith The Dark Chateau (Arkham House, 1951). A short collection of fantasy and weird poetry by the author, from a print run of 563 copies. It was intended as a temporary work while the larger Selected Poems was in preparation. Contents include "Averoigne", "Zothique", "The Twilight of the Gods", and others. In Fine condition with some tanning and chipping to the dust jacket. Listed as #9 on Arkham House Books: A Collector's Guide's list of the 35 most valuable Arkham editions, and #8 on their list of scarcity. In Fine condition with some soiling. Arkham House Books value for Fine copy = $1,000.From the Gary Munson Collection.
