First edition. Octavo. 318, [1, list of works], [1, blank] pages. Frontispiece and four additional inserted plates by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's blue cloth, spine and front lettered in red; all text block edges trimmed, top edge stained red; map endpapers; original illustrated dust jacket. Spine ends a bit pushed and showing just a trace of wear; light wear along joints and at bottom edges of boards. Text block somewhat yellowed with age; top edge dust-soiled. Some subtle rippling to dust jacket. Near fine. Zeuschner, p. 173.

    [Together with:] Lost on Venus. London: Methuen & Co. Ltd., [1937]. Colonial edition. Octavo. 274, [2, last page of text and printer's statement] pages. Publisher's pale blue cloth, spine and rear board lettered in dark blue; all text block edges trimmed; facsimile dust jacket. Binding fairly soiled and discolored, with wear at spine ends, board edges, and along joints; corners tapped with boards peeking through cloth. Joints split; front joint a bit loose but still sound; pen marks and evidence of small label removed from front endpapers. Text block softly yellowed with age; edges soiled with a few small scratches and some scattered specks of foxing; occasional faint speck of marginal foxing or soiling scattered throughout interior; some gutters over-opened. Fair.
