Octavo (7.25 x 4.875 inches, 181 x 122 mm.). [4], 365, [1, blank] pages. Frontispiece by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's full dark blue cloth, front and spine lettered in orange; all edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Mild shelf wear and bumping at extremities of binding; spine ends softened and a touch pushed; faint spot or two of soiling at front board, visible only in raking light. Text block somewhat yellowed with age; small spot-stains and pencil markings to edges; top edge faintly dust-soiled; tiny area of mild blue rubbing at bottom corner. Very faint thumbsoiling and discoloration at endpapers. Minor edge wear to jacket, most pronounced on the spine and flap fold ends, with minimal paper loss; general light rubbing and thumbsoiling at exposed panels; some small abrasions to top half of front panel, with half-inch tear from bottom edge; seven-eighths-inch tear from top edge of rear panel.
