Frontispiece and four additional inserted plates by Studley Burroughs. Publisher's blue cloth, spine and front lettered in red; all text block edges trimmed, top edge stained red; original illustrated dust jacket. Spine slightly faded; spine ends softly pushed and showing a bit of wear; light wear at top and bottom edges of boards; some very faint rubbing and soiling to boards. Endpapers and text block rather yellowed with age; top edge slightly dust-soiled. Mild edge wear to jacket, resulting in a few tiny nicks at spine and flap fold ends; general light rubbing and a couple of small areas of soiling; some soft creasing to folds; small dampstain visible at verso of foot of spine panel; some faint thumbsoiling at verso of rear flap.
