[8], 400, [1, last page of text], [1, blank], [6, publisher's ads] pages. Frontispiece. Publisher's olive cloth, spine and front lettered in black, front with blind-stamped double-ruled border; all text block edges trimmed; second-issue illustrated jacket, variant with Tarzan's silhouette in dark green. Spine ends pushed and slightly worn; wear along board edges. Tiny amount of faint foxing to endpapers; small numerical stamp at lower corner of rear free endpaper. Text block somewhat yellowed with darkening and some specks of foxing and soiling along edges; a few instances of marginal thumbsoiling scattered throughout interior. Jacket rather rubbed and soiled; a bit of nicking and chipping at spine and flap fold ends, along with several short tears extending in from edges of front and rear panels, some reinforced with clear tape at recto and verso; soft creasing at folds; some loss to surface of paper at rear panel, with a bit of added color; mild foxing at verso.
