Publisher's brown cloth, spine and front lettered in dark brown; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket, with a facsimile jacket laid over. Spine ends a bit pushed; mild wear at spine ends, joints, and board edges; boards lightly rubbed and soiled; small gouge at rear board. A bit of thumbsoiling to rear endpapers. Text block dulled; gutter split between half-title and frontispiece, but still sound; occasional faint spot-soiling scattered throughout interior. Jacket spine panel slightly sunned; mild wear along edges, resulting in some nicking and tiny tears, reinforced with clear tape at verso; soft creasing at folds; rubbing to recto and verso; some faint foxing and a couple of tidemarks at verso.
