    Description

Edgar Rice Burroughs - "I Am A Barbarian," First Edition (Burroughs, 1967). The cover and frontispiece of this book both feature illustrations by Jeff Jones. This historical novel, set in ancient Rome, was one of Edgar Rice Burroughs' few stand-alone titles. The dust jacket blurb for the book notes, "Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote I Am A Barbarian while living in Honolulu. The story was completed only a few short months before Pearl Harbor. Burroughs was an eye-witness to the attack, and in the years that followed, the manuscript was all but forgotten." The book was published 17 years after Burroughs' death, and only 2,000 copies of this first edition were printed. This copy is an Excellent condition book in an Excellent condition dust jacket.
