Frontispiece and five additional inserted plates by John Coleman Burroughs. Publisher's blue cloth, spine and front stamped in red; top edge of text block trimmed and stained red; map endpapers; original illustrated dust jacket. Moderate wear and soiling to binding; spine ends slightly rolled. Text block faintly yellowed with age; edges slightly softened; topstain a bit worn; mild foxing along fore-edge; very few instances of marginal spot-soiling scattered throughout interior. Jacket edges a bit worn with a tiny amount of nicking at spine and flap fold ends; minimal rubbing and a couple of small scratches visible at rear panel; spotting at verso. Very Good.
