Publisher's full red cloth, spine lettered in black; all edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Minimal shelf wear to binding, with small gouge to bottom edge of rear board; slight pushing and just a touch of thinning to cloth at spine ends; corners just barely bumped; a bit of light soiling and rubbing to boards. Text block browned due to poor paper stock, as expected; some small spots of soiling to top edge; light scuffs at fore-edge. Edge wear to jacket resulting in light rumpling and some small chips at spine and flap fold ends; rubbing, light soiling, and faint yellowing at exposed panels; three short tears from edges of front panel, the longest less than one inch; soft creasing at joint and flap folds. Near fine. Collection of twelve stories, originally published between 1946 and 1953. Barron, Anatomy of Wonder (1987), 3-104; Currey, p. 115.
