Publisher's full dark gray cloth, spine lettered in silver, fore-edge untrimmed, others trimmed, top edge stained green; original illustrated dust jacket. Slight skew to spine; trace of shelf wear to bottom edge of spine and boards; top edge just faintly discolored; bottom corner of rear board tapped. Normal age yellowing to edges and interior of text block, bottom edge faintly soiled with a small spot of rubbing at corner, top edge rather dusty; front hinge split but still sound. Jacket sunned at exposed panels, particularly at spine, with some very light wear at spine ends; mild rubbing at joints, front and rear panels; minor rumpling and soft creasing at rear panel; further creasing at flap folds, with tiny nick out of top end of rear flap fold. Small stain and area of paper loss at verso of spine panel, where glued item appears to have been torn away. Near fine. From the Glynn and Suzanne Crain Collection.
