Publisher's full red cloth, spine lettered in black; all edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Minimal shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends just slightly pushed; corners bumped, more pronounced at bottom. Normal age yellowing to edges and interior of text block; bottom front corner bumped; scratch at bottom edge. Faint, uneven discoloration to endpapers. A bit of light edge wear to jacket resulting in rumpling at joint and flap fold ends; sunning and rubbing with a few shallow abrasions to exposed panels of jacket; short closed tear at top of rear joint; soft creasing and light wear at joints and flap folds. Browned tape repairs and reinforcements at verso of spine ends and front flap fold. Near fine. Barron, Anatomy of Wonder (1987), 3-97; Currey, p. 113.
