[2, blank], [6], 306, [1, printer's imprint], [1, blank] pages. Publisher's full blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt; top edge trimmed, others untrimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Minimal shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends pushed; bump to bottom of front joint; top edges a bit dusty. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; moderate amount of foxing along edges. Bit of light foxing scattered throughout, principally at endleaves and first and final few gatherings. Minor edge wear with very slight paper loss at spine and flap fold ends and a bit of fraying at spine ends; mild wear and soft creasing along folds, with single crease running the length of spine panel; general mild toning; light rubbing at exposed panels; price-clipped. A bit of faint foxing at verso. About near fine. "...[It] remains the definitive critique of the technologically supported 'rational' society, exposing the darker side of scientific humanism.
